Ostara
March 22, 2026 10 am
The pagan celebration of Ostara marks the time of year when the hours of daylight and darkness are equal. In the Northern Hemisphere, Ostara marks the beginning of spring when daylight becomes longer than night. During this time, spring marks the beginning of a fertility cycle,a cycle of rebirth and new beginnings. The Christian church overlaid this festival with Easter, using symbols that pagans used in their celebrations. Discover how Ostara helped shape the Christian celebration and what Ostara may mean to us today.
