Growing a Progressive Spiritual Community to Build a Just and Loving World
The Garden We Share
June 14, 2026 10 am
A gardener knows that growth cannot be forced. It requires the right conditions, care, and time. This Sunday, join Dani Williams as we consider what gardens can teach us about human flourishing, reflect on what helps people thrive and what stands in the way, and how we can cultivate a community where all have the opportunity to grow.
During service, children will be invited to join us for our Faith Exploration program. Our program (K-5th) engages the spirit, mind, and body through games, movement, and hands-on activities. Kids start in the sanctuary with the whole congregation before heading to their classes.
For our youngest friends (under age 5), Nursery care is available for the duration of the service.
This month's theme is Flourishing- Meditation gardens in Japan, known as karesansui (dry landscape gardens) or Zen gardens, were created by Buddhist monks as spiritual tools to calm the mind and aid in meditation. We will reflect on human flourishing by creating zen gardens in our altered books.
