Children & Youth
At Columbine UU Church we care about the whole person. Our programs engage the spirit, mind, and body. We teach through games, movement, stories, hands-on activities, and thoughtful conversation. We offer programs for children in kindergarten through fifth grade on Sunday mornings and for youth in 6th through 12th grade every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 6-8pm.
Children in kindergarten through fifth grade meet on Sunday mornings to learn about the basics of Unitarian Universalism, world religions, and what it means to build and be a part of the Beloved Community. Because we value being a multigenerational community, children begin the service in the sanctuary and head back to their classes after the Time For All Ages.
On Sunday evenings, Youth in 6th through 12th grade meet for an hour of games and bonding, and an hour of fun, multisensory learning. Youth focus on deeper aspects of the UU religion, an immersive world religions curriculum, ethics, making a difference in the world, and developing their own belief systems and identities.
