Marching with UU's at the Pride Parade

For all CUUC members and friends planning to attend Pride, we will be meeting with the members of First Unitarian and Common Flame in Cheesman Park. We're looking for the Blue #39 in the parade. Parade step-off is at 9:30 AM at 17th Ave. and Franklin St. We are encouraged to arrive around 9:00 to help with parade staging and decorating the float. (While the parade "starts" at 9:30, historically it starts late as it takes a while to get it rolling.) Please RSVP if you plan to attend.

 

Breakfast Potluck at First Unitarian

If you would like to participate, there will be a potluck breakfast beforehand at First Unitarian at 8:30 to meet our fellow marching UUs and learn some marching songs before we walk over together to Cheesman Park. If you attend the breakfast beforehand, please bring a dish to share.

 

Public Transportation Details

For those planning to take public transportation to get to Pride, here are some more details:

• You can purchase an all-day ticket online at RTD website or get the RTD app on your phone.

• We will leave on the train that departs at 8:07 from Mineral Station

• We will arrive Union Station at 8:39 and take the Mall Shuttle to the RTD Station. Then, walk a few minutes to Colfax and Lincoln

• We will take the Colfax bus 15 to Downing. Walk 5 blocks to Cheesman Park & find our fellow UU's
