Ongoing CUUC Fund Raising Activities
In addition to the offertory and pledges by members and friends,
CUUC has several ongoing fundraising activities that provide value
for givers.
These include the Gift Cards program,
Grocery Coupons, the
Annual Auction, and
special fundraising events.
Gift Cards
Really Works
To Raise Money for CUUC!
Gift Cards — Now We Have Two Ways to Get Them !
Now you can buy gift cards from Barnes and Noble, Office Depot,
Office Max and Starbucks on any Sunday. We’re keeping a supply of
the most popular gift cards on hand so you can pick up just what you
need when you need them. Gift cards are sold at the table along side
King Soopers certificates and Equal Exchange Coffees. Or you can buy
them from Suzanne when she is in the office during the week!
If you want to order gift cards from any of the other hundreds of
retailers, you just fill out an order envelope and place your check
inside. A partial participating retailer list is provided
here (PDF Document).
Please look for the retailers and restaurants where you already shop
and notice the percentage CUUC could keep. Then choose the amount
you wish to spend at each store or service. Write the dollar amount
next to the retailer on the order form, total your selections, and
place your check, payable to CUUC, in the envelope. Drop off your
envelope at the Soopers/coffee table on Sunday. The following
Sunday, your gift certificates will be waiting for you to use.
Remember, CUUC earns a percentage of every gift card we buy. Since
we started this fundraising program, CUUC has earned over $2,000!
For more information and a full list of retailers with the fine
print rules, refer to the CUUC Scrip Program binder at church, go to

Grocery Coupons
Every time you purchase grocery coupons you are donating to the
financial health of the church. Coupons are redeemable at King
Soopers, Albertsons, Safeway and Grocery Warehouse though they only
say King Soopers on the Coupon. If you buy $50.00 per week of
grocery coupons, in 10 years you will have contributed $1,300.00 to
CUUC! And it did not cost you anything since you receive a dollars
worth of groceries for every dollar of coupons you buy. It is a
great way to support CUUC! Sold after the service each Sunday.
Annual Auction
CornUUcopia, CUUC’s annual auction
and dinner, will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007. See the
CornUUCopia Web page. Last year's event was tremendous fun and
raised over $11,000!
Special Fundraising Events
Funds to support the church and its programs are also provided by
the CUUC Concert Series, Garage Sales, Plant Sales, Book
Sales, and the
Coffee Project.
See the Calendar for information
about these and other activities. |
