TRANSITIONS
Sixth Session: Legal Preparations (Rescheduled),
Saturday, May 17th, 2pm - 4:30pm
Having been snowed out in January, Mary Jo Cleveland
returns to help us begin filling out the Living Will and Durable
Power of Attorney forms, as well as the booklet, Five Wishes.
All materials will be provided. These forms are a gift you give your
own relative so they will be able to truthfully honor your wishes
and preferences.
COLD LUNCH - HOT TOPIC
Wednesday, May 7th, 11:30 - 1:00pm
This is a monthly BYO lunch. Are you interested in spiritual growth
and getting to know other member better? Barbara Kelly will lead a
discussion and some sharing exercises about creative journaling.
Bring the warmth of spring and yourself into this circle of church
friends sharing lunch and great conversation.

Have you ever wished for more consistency between your personal
values and your financial affairs? Ken Jacobs, of Professional Asset
Management of Colorado, will address this topic (without a sales
pitch!) to help us see creative ways to balance our ethics with our
investments. He supports the UUA's information on this topic. Check

DOUBT
Friday, May 9th , 7:30pm, Ricketson Theatre
Adult Ed invites you to a night at the Ricketson Theater, to be
challenged by the Pulitzer Prize winning play, DOUBT. Those with a
Catholic background might be especially drawn to the priest accused
by an "old school nun" of abusing a child. Cost if we have 10 or
more: $41. Deadline to sign up: Monday, April 28th. Questions?

A WOMEN'S SORT-OF-SILENT
RETREAT -
May 2-3, at Mueller State Park, in a luxury, fully-furnished cabin
for 10 (5 Queen beds, 2 baths) tucked into the forest 30 miles west
of Colorado Springs. Cost is $50 per person. A wonderful
chance to read meditate, relax and regroup. Call Ruth with questions

WESTERN UU LIFE FESTIVAL During the first week of
June (June 2-8) UU’s from our area gather at the Ghost Ranch retreat
center, located in New Mexico, for the Western UU Life Festival
(called WUULF). Workshops and gatherings are designed to inspire,
empower and encourage artistic and spiritual well-being in adults,
teens and children. This year’s theme: DESERT REFLECTIONS; FAITH AND
POLITICS. Program listings for adults and children can be seen at
www.wuulf.org or in back of the sanctuary. Please take a program
home, but please return it. Registration forms are attached to the
booklets, register by May 10 to ensure availability..

about four days of beauty, peace and quiet camping on the shores of

for the Denver Center for Spiritual Renewal is now out! These and
